Summary: Part 1

1. Phil gets off work, and Bob tells him their friend Jer died.

2. Bob and Phil talk about Jer’s death. Bob reveals that he wants to get a few things of his from Jer’s.

3. Phil caves and the two go to Jer’s, only to find the door kicked in.

4. Bob and Phil investigate the apartment. Every CD, CD-ROM, video game and computer drive has been taken.

5. Bob finds his lucky pair of sunglasses, and while arguing the two hear someone else enter.

6. Bob and Phil hide inside the shower, while hearing the intruder get closer and closer.

7. We flashback a half-hour to introduce Mokoto, a mysterious woman who also goes to Jer’s.

8. Mokoto finds Bob and Phil, and begins to question them.

9. Officer Jeff Stevens checks the apartment, and is gunned down by Mokoto.

10. Mokoto questions Bob and Phil further, then tells them to take her to her motorcycle, then to their apartment.

11. Bob gives Mokoto a ride to her motorcycle, and Phil discovers a cryptic note from Jer’s apartment manager.

12. Bob weighs his options, and against Phil’s better judgment he drives away while Mokoto seems distracted.

13. Bob thinks they have escaped, but Phil spots Mokoto in the rear view mirror at an intersection.

14. Mokoto chases them to the interestate, where a Highway Patrol car tries to pull her over.

15. Mokoto shoots out the tires of the Highway Patrol car, causing a massive pile up. However, she loses Phil and Bob.

16. After escaping, they stop at a gas station, where Bob breaks down and Phil spots their names on a newscast as wanted for questioning.

17. Phil keeps the cashier from seeing their names for a time, but their car gives them away. The cashier alerts the police.

18. Bob pulls himself together and ponders their next move. Phil notices Mokoto has found them again.

19. Phil engineers another getaway, while Mokoto has a conversation with a curious young girl named Sakura, who reminds Mokoto herself at that age.

20. Mokoto calls Bob to try and end the pursuit, but Phil tosses a tracking device from their car into an unsuspecting pickup.

21. Mokoto worries about being found, then thinks she’s found Bob and Phil. Jeremiah and Jebediah come back to town and go shopping at the gun shop.

22. Mokoto discovers that Bob and Phil found her tracker, and gave it to some unruly college students. Officer Jonas Bernard finds Bob’s Grand Prix.

23. Jonas find the Pontiac abandoned. Bob and Phil keep moving on foot. Jeremiah and Jebediah introduce themselves to Bob and Phil’s landlord Mabel.

24. Mokoto gets new instructions from her boss after dealing with the two students. Mabel is persuaded to let Jeremiah and Jebediah into Bob and Phil’s apartment, while Phil doesn’t like Bob’s new idea.

25. Bob and Phil spot (their downstairs neighbor) Old man B’s AMC Pacer outside an adult bookstore, which gives Phil an idea. Mabel gets a lecture from Jeremiah while Jebediah takes every CD, CD-ROM and game disc from the apartment.

26. Mokoto spots the Pontiac, but the police are checking it. Mabel sees her life flash before her eyes. Officer Travis Bucholz finds Jeff Stevens’s body. Old man B gets in his car.

27. Old man B drives away. Jeremiah and Jebediah call Mokoto, who walks into a convenience store. As Mokoto is being checked out (in more ways than one) by the teenage cashier, a robber comes in.

28. Mokoto leaves the gas station after roughing up the robber. Old man B finds Bob and Phil hiding in his car. F.B.I. agent Clayton Iron-Horse arrives in town.
