Summary: Part 2

29. Detective Will Hetfield investigates the crime scene, and the evidence in Steven’s death points to the apartment manager, Geoff Pryblinski.  Old man B chats with Phil and Bob.

30. Old man B tells Phil and Bob he’ll help them.  Jeremiah and Jebediah start pondering their next move.

31. Detective Hetfield meets F.B.I. agent Clayton Iron-Horse, who is seeking Gerrard (Jer) on indentity theft charges.

32. Hetfield discovers that Jer’s body is not at the morgue.  Old man B stops his car at a mysterious location.

33. Old man B reveals that he plans to sneak Phil and Bob out of town on a freight car.  Mokoto probes KELO TV for information.

34. Hetfield moves to check out Phil and Bob’s car.  Old man B finds a suitable boxcar.

35. Hetfield looks for clues in the abandoned Grand Prix.  Mokoto takes umbrage to something Jebediah said.

36. Mokoto storms off into the night, leaving Jeremiah and Jebediah to check the morgue.  Phil and Bob acclimate to their new mode of transportation.

37, Hetfield and Iron-Horse agree to work together.  Old man B flashes back to the Korean War and is snapped back to reality by railroad security.

38. Old man B meets railroad security officer Julio Perez.  Hetfield reports to Captain Hale, and finds some new faces.

39. Hefield doesn’t get off to a good start with government agents Garrett and Lewis.  Phil and Bob’s apartment manager hears another break in.

40. Iron-Horse arrives at the morgue.  Mokoto gives Bob and Phil’s apartment another look, and finds something odd.

41. Mokoto makes a leap of faith out of Phil and Bob’s window.  Old man B gets the third degree from Perez.  Iron-Horse finds some odd paperwork in the morgue.

42. Phil ponders a phone call.  Iron-Horse starts pressing the coroner on duty for information.

43. Clayton continues to find things out of place.  The police and Mabel (Phil and Bob’s apartment manager) check things out in Phil and Bob’s apartment.

44. Mokoto has a dream that leaves her unsettled.

45. Mokoto wakes up from her fall and takes cover.  Jeremiah and Jebediah arrive at the morgue.

46. Hetfield vents to officer Tina Vig.  Old man B won’t tell Perez what he was doing in the rail yard.  Jeremiah and Jebediah tie up two loose ends at the morgue, leaving only Agent Iron-Horse and Darlene (the receptionist).

47. Iron-Horse springs into action, and shots are exchanged.  Hetfield explains his disdain for the C.I.A. and gets a call from Darlene on Iron-Horse’s phone.

48. Hetfield calls in backup for Iron-Horse.  Mokoto talks to her boss and heads off to replace her torn clothes.  Iron-Horse decides to try a negotiation.

49. Perez takes Old man B to the police himself.  Hetfield flashes back to his brother’s death.

50. Mokoto makes a friend at Wal-Mart.  Iron-Horse finds that Jeremiah and Jebediah have fled, and the Sioux Falls police try to arrest him.  Jeremiah and Jebediah drive off and ponder their next move.

51. Three hours later, Mokoto opens a letter she found at Bob and Phil’s.  Hetfield apologizes to Iron-Horse about the near arrest.  Bob wakes up to hear the boxcar door being locked from the outside.

52. Three hours later still, Phil wakes up and gets an update of their new situation from Bob.

53. Officer Laura Black interrogates Old man B.  The coroner who forged Jer’s death certificate gets a surprise visit at the airport from Geoff Pryblinski.

54. Phil finds a possible way out.  Iron-Horse wakes up on Will’s couch only to find pop tarts and a wide-awake Hetfield, who has a new lead.

55. Phil starts planning his ascent to the roof hatch.  Geoff gets information from the runaway coroner but before he can leave Jeremiah and Jebediah show up.

56. Phil gives the roof hatch his all, while officer Laura shows her true colors when no one is looking.
